 Our new arrival!
Dear Patients,
We are overjoyed to share the joyous news of the arrival of our newest bundle of joy, Abbas Clément, who came into this world on February 25th in the early morning, born safely at home with the wonderful help of midwives, and weighing 8 lbs and 1 oz. Carmel, now 2 years old, is adoring her little brother. Our family thank you once again for all your support!

Times Colonist
In May 2010, Dr. Farahani was featured in the Times Colonist in an article entitled "Dentists opened wide to embracing green concepts".

2009
Canadian Journal of Dental Assistants
In May 2009, an article was published in the Canadian Journal of Dental Assistants featuring front street dental and its environmentally-conscious approach to the practice of dentistry.
The Pulse
In the winter of 2009 (and the spring of 2010), Dr. Farahani published a two-part article for naturopathic doctors outlining natural dental considerations for their diagnosis.

Ontario Association
of Naturopathic Doctors’ Seminar
In early June 2008, Dr. Farahani addressed
the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors in an
inter-professional educational seminar examining the implications
of oral health on systemic health and vice-versa. This
proved to be an enriching event for all – no more
tower of Babel!

In the May 2008 edition of the ODAA
Journal, front street dental was featured as “an
office where oral health meets environmental care”.
This article highlights how front street dental is taking
a leading role in dentistry by serving as a model for
dentists interested in contributing to a greener, more
sustainable practice.
Publication in The
Pulse, the Journal of the OAND
In the winter 2008 issue of The Pulse,
Dr. Farahani clarified numerous facts and fictions about
mercury ‘silver’ amalgam fillings in order
that Naturopathic Doctors may better assist their patients
in making informed decisions on this topic.
International Academy
of Oral Medicine and Toxicology
We are thrilled to announce that Dr.
Farahani is presenting The Eco-Responsible Dental Office
at the Spring Meeting of the International Academy of
Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT) in March 2008, Chicago,
Illinois, USA. As you may know, the IAOMT is an international
academy of professionals that are dedicated to biological
dentistry. Dr. Farahani is speaking about the importance
of taking an integrative approach which combines, as does
Dr. Farahani’s own practice, both a natural and
an environmentally-friendly approach to dentistry. You

Dr. Farahani has been invited to address
the International Association of Dental Students (IADS)
at their February 2008 upcoming conference in Edmonton,
Alberta. Dr. Farahani is speaking about the future of

American Dental Association
The American Dental Association (ADA)
has expressed great interest in Dr. Farahani’s eco-friendly
approach to dentistry. Key members of the ADA Board of
directors recently interviewed Dr. Farahani and as a result
of this fruitful interview, an article will be published
in early 2008 for all American dentists and dentists abroad
to read and learn from. The Journal of the ADA is an internationally-read

2007
 Canada’s
First Eco-Friendly Dental Office
We are delighted to announce that our practice is featured
on the front cover of the Canadian Dental Journal, September
2007 issue. This article is a summary of a twelve-month
research project which provides new, sustainable ways
of conducting general dentistry. This journal has international
circulation and it is hoped that the environmental impact
will be far reaching.
